About the Role

As a Laboratory Technician at MTC Materials Engineering Company, you will play a crucial role in conducting various tests and experiments to support our research and development efforts. You will work closely with engineers and scientists to analyse and characterise materials used in a wide range of applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Performing physical and chemical tests on materials such as metals, polymers, ceramics, and composites
Preparing samples for analysis using techniques such as cutting, polishing, and mounting
Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment including microscopes, spectrometers, and thermal analysers
Recording and analysing test data accurately and documenting results
Assisting in the development of new testing procedures and methodologies
Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Biology, or Medical Laboratory Science

  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting

  • Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and safety protocols

  • Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
